The vessel offers multiple shaded and open-air zones to watch the surf from different angles, whether you are checking the morning sets with coffee in hand or soaking up the breeze in the afternoon sun. Inside, you will find a spacious lounge and dining area with a t.v, buffet-style meals served three times a day and a well-stocked bar with icy cold beers and spirits available to purchase.
The onboard experience balances relaxation and adventures - enjoy night fishing off the back deck or trolling anytime we move to a new break. It’s a stunning location, the Maldives. With comfortable seating all around the vessel, you can simply sit back and watch the islands go by as we move in search of perfect empty waves.
Our dedicated dhoni support vessel carries your boards and gear that can move to different breaks to separate our group or take for a late afternoon troll whilst the other surfers remain with the main vessel, and a dinghy that can drop you right next to the break for an easy paddle out. With a focus on surf, comfort and authentic island vibes, this is the ideal set-up for chasing uncrowded perfection in the Maldives.

Our signature trip is 10 days — but we're considering introducing a 7 or 8-night option in 2027 as a more accessible price point without compromising on what matters most.
Here's why it works: we have the potential to travel at night. Our routing decisions are driven purely by the surf forecast, not a fixed itinerary. That means we hit breaks before the crowds, time our sessions around the best conditions, and make every hour in the water count. The result? You'll score more waves on a Liquid Destination 7 or 8-night trip than most guests get on a 10-day charter with anyone else.

Ten Days in Paradise
From airport pick-up to drop-off we promise you a unique Maldivian adventure. On our ten-day journey, we will tap into our knowledge of the best, uncrowded breaks and do everything possible to ensure you score the wave of your life. Along the way, we will venture onto deserted islands, access the best fishing and diving spots and maybe drop in on a resort, so that you get to experience all the Maldives has to offer.
Liquid Destination Charter Info
Visa Application
Complete the Maldivian government visa application at least 48 hours before arrival. Only use the official government website below — third-party sites will charge you a fee.
Airport Arrival
A Liquid Destination representative will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the vessel on the first night of your charter at 10:00pm. The transfer takes approximately 20 minutes.
On Board
The trip is focused on surfing the best uncrowded waves across your 10 days. All meals are included. Snorkelling and fishing gear are provided on board, but feel free to bring your own if you prefer.
What to Bring
Surf Gear
Boards, fins, wax, leg ropes, zinc, sunscreen.
Clothing
Boardshorts, rash shirt, hat, surf hat (the midday sun is intense), 5 x walk shorts, 5 x t-shirts.
Other
Phone chargers. Australian adaptors are available on board but bring a universal adaptor if you have one. There is a speaker and TV on board.
This is a simple list. We're in the tropics and focused on surfing, so you really don't need much.
The Bar
Beer, wine, and spirits are available to purchase on board. A card machine is available.
Tipping
Tipping the crew at the end of the trip is customary in the Maldives tourism industry. Most guests tip between $100 and $200 depending on the crew's service.
Tips can be paid in Australian dollars, however it is worth exchanging some money at the airport to Maldivian Rufiyaa or USD. While most shops accept card, some local island stores only accept cash.

Day One and Two
Whether you’ve flown in the night before or have jumped straight on board, it’s likely you are going to be fatigued from the long journey. Sometimes we take off as soon as you arrive and drive through the night, while on other occasions we push off in the morning. We try to get people into the water as soon as we can to blow the cobwebs out. The itinerary for the first day is typically pretty relaxed as people catch up on sleep, but by the second day, we should be posted up at a good wave that will keep us interested for a day or two.
Day Three and Four
I like to use the first couple of breaks to give people the chance to become comfortable with the reefs, learn where the best take-off zones are and start dialling in their boards. This is when people really start to settle into their holiday. We will enjoy a snorkel, and wander around some islands if they are in close proximity. The relaxed rhythm has typically kicked in by now with sunset beers going down a treat and everyone enjoying the stunning surrounds of the Maldives.
Day Five and Six
Depending on where we are, we will be searching for different waves to surf. I like to mix it up with lefts and rights, long walls and/or barrels. By this stage, we are typically planning a resort visit and the fishing adventures are definitely well and truly underway. Whether it’s trolling on the move or bottom bashing at night, the freezer should be filling up with fresh fish by this point.
Day Seven and Eight
Blown away by so many fun experiences, no one will know what day it is by now. However, everyone should be on familiar terms and struck by the notion they are experiencing something genuinely unique. Having accomplished much of what we set out to do, we now look to fill in the blanks. Bigger waves, smaller waves, islands inhabited or deserted, fish caught or not. Often it’s about now that the arms and shoulders beg for mercy, and finding other options gives people a break from surfing.
Day Nine and Ten
I never give up. This is one of the defining aspects of travelling with Liquid Destination – it ain’t over till the moment we drop you at the airport. It doesn’t matter if the body has given in, we surf, we laugh and we go right till the end. The featured event of the last evening is the slideshow of photos from the trip. It’s a great way to reflect on the journey, highlight the magic moments and have a few laughs. All things going to plan I drop you back at the airport, swearing you’ll be back next year to do it all over again.
