As the sun drops, the pace slows and the night comes alive. We anchor up in the lee of a remote reef and switch to bottom fishing under the stars. The Maldives is known for its healthy reef systems, and night fishing often brings steady action — red snapper, emperor, grouper, and the occasional surprise bending rods all at once.
